INTRODUCTION THE COURSE

That is a Transformational process in which the leaner needs to find, understand, evaluate and use information in various forms to create for personal, social or global purposes.

It is important because we are surrounded by a growing ocean of information in all formats. The amount of information is going to keep increasing. The types of technology used to access, manipulate, and create information will likewise expand. However, just because so much information is so easily and quickly available does not mean that all of it is worthwhile or even true. Therefore, learning information literacy as to improve a skill to plan, search, evaluate and find the useful information to complete effectively our work.

HOW WILL I USE INFORMATION LITERACY SKILLS?

Information literacy skills are used for academic purposes, such as research papers and group presentations. They're used on the job—the ability to find, evaluate, use and share information is an essential skill. The ability to use information technologies effectively to find and manage information, and the ability to critically evaluate and ethically apply that information to solve a problem are some of the hallmarks of an information literate individual.
